Nathan Jones believes yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield, coupled with other results going Brighton & Hove Albion’s way, has left the Seagulls in prime position going into the business end of the season.
Albion's destiny is not entirely in their own hands - unless Ipswich fail to win at Watford today - the 40-year-old admitted his happiness with the position the club is in with just three games to go, starting with Blackpool on Monday at the American Express Community Stadium.*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “All things considered we are in a fantastic position with three games left and two at home. We want to consolidate that, and a draw away at a very difficult team has taken us up a place and we’re very happy with that.
“They are difficult games against sides that all have something to play for. We have two home games against sides that need points for various reasons.
“Then we’re into the final game, but at the moment we’re only looking ahead to Monday. We’re looking forward to Monday and we want to get it so we’re in amongst it. This is the final strait and I think we’re in a great position.”
