Only saw the second half, have never ever seen such heavy traffic - from M25/A3 to M1/M6 junctions just slow, slow & slower and then of course around junctions 28 & 29. Average speed 44mph going to Huddersfield. Left at 9.40am. Hey ho, worse things happen. We won 1-0 right?

Anyway back home, another point in the bag, hopefully not pointless come 3 May. But please use the width of the pitch - it's like being allowed to use the hard shoulder when the motorway is congested.....we can use the wings when centre midfield gets clogged.....

If you only made it for the 2nd half then you probably saw about 20 minutes of football and 25 minutes waiting for the ball boys to get the one football back on the pitch.

!!!! Very true. The 4th official had a word with the ball boys on the dug out side of the pitch. Why weren't they seated in front of the hoardings and seated apart, not in pairs? I wonder whether their positions would have changed if Huddersfield were losing......

As already said, respect for going  but don't you think you left it a bit late to leave? Google maps say it's about 4.5 hours from Henfield to Huddersfield and that will be in optimum conditions, it is bank holiday Friday where the traffic is notoriously a lot worse, as I am sure you are now aware :(

How much did they charge you to get in?

Left Camden at 09:30, arrived at 14:15. Left at 17:15, home at 20:45.

The return trip was faster cos it's all downhill from the north...

Free car parking in HTFC car park! Had to show match tickets to a steward who kindly opened the gate (after 2 numpties elsewhere were flummoxed, which marginally increased my blood pressure).

Next time on a Bank Holiday, we'll be leaving earlier!

The M1 southbound had been closed all night due to an accident, & northbound very slow between 27 & 29. We left Brighton at 8am & there were warnings about it then.
We arrived just after 2pm.

Picked up my pal and his boy in Seaford at 8, stopped for 20 mins at Northampton and got to the ground at 1.35, satnav directed us around some of the congestion 😎. Dropped off in Seaford and home in newhaven for 11. Don't remember ever seeing the m1 or m25 as empty as the journey home last night.

34 quid to stay at travel lodge in Mansfield on Friday night. Arrived in Huddersfield at 1pm for fish and chips.

Trip home was so fast. No traffic at all. Was at cobham services by half 9
