Jesse Lingard has been told to keep turning on the magic – by his skipper and England boss.
The on-loan star has revealed he was given encouragement by England under-21s manager Gareth Southgate on one of Albion’s recent treks north.
Lingard, pictured right, has scored in both games since then and played his best football for the club.
He aims for more of the same at Huddersfield on Good Friday.
Lingard said: “I spoke to Gareth Southgate last week when we stayed at St George’s Park after we played Barnsley and he said he has got high hopes for me.
“England under-21s is a massive aim for me. I’ve always wanted to play for the under-21s and try and get into the first team.
“But I’m taking it step by step now and see where it takes me.”
Lingard, who has four under-21 caps, is likely to go up against his fellow Warrington boy Tommy Smith in a revamped Huddersfield back line.
The Terriers have lost defenders Joel Lynch and Peter Clarke to suspension.
Albion skipper Gordon Greer says fans are starting to see the best of the forward player brought in from Manchester United at the end of February.
Greer said: “Jesse has been outstanding in games but he just hadn’t got his goal.
“But he is a great lad and he has got so much quality.
“I think the fans are starting to see that now.”
Huddersfield, whose run of nine games without a win has left them just six points clear of the drop zone, will also be missing ten-goal top scorer James Vaughan to a knee injury.
