Sheff Utd's Chief Exec just been on the radio talking about their trip to wembley tomorrow:- "it's a weekend of celebration for the whole of Sheffield"... Yeah bet it's going to be a real carnival at Hillsborough

A tad over-reacting there chaps.
The mourning this weekend is in Liverpool.

That said, any celebrating by Wednesday fans will be reserved for when the blades get well and truly stuffed.

The word "celebration" is now often used in death - as in, a celebrating of ones life, rather than mourning ones death - bit like the minutes applause rather than silence for a significant passing.

I do agree that as it stands, the quote could be read as insensitive and should maybe have made specific mention to the celebration of life for the 96 Liverpool fans who died in Sheffield 25 years ago.

Or he could have just flucked it up ....
