There are a few plugins for Firefox which do this. All you'd have to do is search "Record Stream" in the add-on menu.

I believe the Xilisoft Video Converter software MAY contain the ability to record from the screen and save the file in any format you see fit, allegedly

I use a German Program called Audials One which will record anything that passes through your Video Card or Sound Card.
It's great for spotify too :0)
