Annoys the hell out of me, why is ok to be beaten at the far post, but to be beaten at the near is punishable by death?

Surely a keeper should be a position to cover all the goal and if a shot is accurate to beat him it doesn't matter if it is at the near or far post?

Or am I missing something?

I think there is a Gordon Strachan clip somewhere where he takes the piss after being asked a question along the lines of "So do you think you scored a little too early?"

I go to every game hoping we don't score early. Actually I go to every game wishing we'd score early, I love a first minute goal me.
