Hamstring injuries??

Over the past two seasons I have noticed that more and more players are picking up hamstring injuries late in games.
Hamstring injuries are usually injuries that happen because a player hasn't warmed up properly.They usually occur early in a match.
What has changed?

We signed a couple of wingers with poor injury records.

It seems to be universal rather than localised.
Virtually every match I see on the box has a hamstring injury in it.
