Rovers made the early running in the second half and Albion had to clear two long throws from Spurr.
The Seagulls were being pressed as they tried to play out of defence and could not get into the Rovers half.
Bruno, one booking from a two-game ban, was spoken to by ref Brown after a foul.

8:49pm
Stephens replaced Ince at half-time.

8:32pm
Rodriguez worked room for a cross from the left in added time but it was overhit as he looked to find Ulloa.
Half: Blackburn 2 Albion 1*

8:29pm
Andrews was angry to be pulled up for a foul 25 yards out. His protests earned a rebuke from the ref and boos from home fans.
Conway went for goal with the free-kick which Kuszczak saved low at his right-hand post.
But a second Rovers goal was not long in coming.
Conway dropped deep, taking Bruno with him, and left-back Spurr charged forward outaside him with Ulloa back-tracking in pursuit.
Spurr got almost to the byline and crossed low.
It seemed the chance might have gone as the ball rolled across goal but CAIRNEY was following up to rifle home from beyond the far post.

8:21pm
Albion settled and enjoyed some possession. But Rodriguez was offside when he was denied at close range by Robinson.
The dangerous Rhodes, now on 21 league goals for the season, did not get enough on a header when he met Conway's cross from the left and the ball glanced harmlessly wide of the far post.
Then Upson did well to clear a cross behind for a corner from which Dunn volleyed well over as he fell.

8:14pm
It was a desperately untidy free-kick to concede and there were recriminations among the Albion players with Andrews seemingly unhappy with Kuszczak for the way he charged out of goal in the build-up.
Rovers' previously disgruntled fans were right behind their side now and Kuszczak had to come out to punch clear a cross.

8:10pm
Albion had made a very solid*start - but they got themselves into a horrible mess midway through the half.
It ended with Ince having to dribble his way across his own goalmouth with Kuszczak charging out of goal too.
Andrews comitted a foul as he tried to intervene and the free-kick, fired in low by Cairney from the edge of the box, was tuched in by RHODES

8:03pm
Rhodes had his first hint of*a chance when he turned in the area and had his shot blocked by Upson for a corner which Ulloa headed away.
But Albion struck first in the 17th minute when Lingard sent RODRIGUEZ away to the right of goal and his low, crisply struck shot beat Robinson at his near post.

7:56pm
Albion had the first shot on goal when patient build-up led to Ward to rolling the ball into the path of Andrews for a fierce 25-yarder which flew over the bar.
Then Andrews, starting well against his old club, got on the end of neat build-up down the right but his low cross after overlapping Bruno was well held by the diving Robinson ahead of Rodriguez.
It was a bright opening by the Seagulls.

7:48pm
Albion had an attacking throw-in inside 30 seconds, which Bruno hurled into the box but was cleared.
Bruno then cantered away down the right to win a corner which led to another - which was held by Robinson.

7:43pm
Last season*Albion fans*drove homee through blizzards after a midweek draw at Ewood Park.
Tonight we sit out in the Lancashire air with barely need for a jacket.
But will we get the drama to match that freezing night in Januaray 2013 - when David Lopez won and converted a penalty deep into added time to salvage a 1-1 draw?
And will a point even suffice for the Seagulls this time?
There are two changes to the XI which kicked off against Miidlesbrough on Saturday - and only one by choice.
I'm gessing that is rather fewer alterations than many of the disgruntled fans at the Amex on Saturday would have liked.
Of the two men who come in, Jake Forster-Caskey played more than half the game v Boro.
He replaces David Lopez while David Rodriguez is in for hamstrung Will Buckley.
The teams are out and kick-off time nears...
