That's good news, will save pubs/bars £20 or so in applying for a temporary event notice. I am pretty sure staff and Police will cope!

Just goes to show how out of touch the government is when it comes to football.

"Licensing laws will be relaxed during the World Cup to allow pubs to stay open late during some England matches ", the Home Office has said.

" Some England matches " ? There will probably only be 3 England matches and maximum of 4 !
