I know it's for grass roots, but surely the FA has enough money, I had no idea they also had their mitts in this honey pot as well.

They spunked all that money on Wembley, killed the FA cup and the national team is rubbish.
Now it seems they can't get people to participate at the lowest level, joke organisation

It goes without saying that football is awash with money so not sure why they need a grant in the first place. However, laughable that Sport England cut the FA subsidy and then suggest they should follow the lead of cricket who have adapted their game. Football participation fell by under 5% but cricket fell by over 20%!!!!
