Just received this email from the club - might pop along - anyone else going to take part?

After announcing the new multi-year kit, teamwear and technical partnership with Nike, Albion’s retail department are looking for supporters to help shape the future of official merchandise within the Seagulls Superstore and www.seagullsdirect.co.uk.
The retail department will be hosting focus groups before this Saturday’s match against Middlesbrough and are looking for volunteers to take part. The sessions will take place in Dick’s Bar from 10.30am and will last for 45minutes - tea and coffee will also be provided. The focus groups will give an opportunity to provide feedback on existing merchandise and suggestions on future merchandise.
If you would like to take part in the focus group please email marketing@bhafc.co.uk with your full name, telephone number and fan number, before 5pm on Thursday 27th March. Please note, spaces are limited so it is possible that we will not be able to accommodate all volunteers.

At least it's matchday, rather than during the week

I will only go if Guinness is served----after all I'm normally in Dicks an hour later anyway :drink:
To be serious,as long as next seasons home shirt is not designed by the local primary school I will be happy:)

"More black stuff, fewer he-yowge manufacturer logos". Now there's only another forty four and a half minutes to kill.

If anyone does go, ask them why they chose the Only major sportswear manufacturer who hasn't signed up to the http://www.bangladeshaccord.org.

Ask them if they've seen http://www.teamsweat.org

And remember, it was the Todd McKean, a director of Nike who said, and I quote, "Hey, we don't own the factories. We don't control what goes on there.' What sort of an irresponsible attitude is this, and The Albion are basically supporting this attitude.

Isn't this just part of a lazy pick on the big, easy target? http://www.businessinsider.com/how-nike-solved-its-sweatshop-problem-2013-5

As someone who seems to value employee rights and welfare so highly, I'm also surprised you have an iMac and have (or have owned) iPhones too - http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2012/may/30/foxconn-abuses-despite-apple-reforms. Or does that not count?

I did not know all that about Apple, although they, like Nike, look to be doing something somthing about it, though not enough in many peoples eyes. As for the Albions choice of Nike, I'm disappointed, I had hoped they'd choose a European manufacturer, failing that, anyone but Nike, as they are the big sportswear firm with the poorest record. There was a time when the Albion were just that little bit different to other clubs, I liked that, this is another nail in that coffin IMO.

Nail in the coffin for what ? 96% of fans (on the other thread) support in varying ways the deal with Nike and from what ive see, your the only real opposition to it. This is a club with £14 Million losses, a big moneymaking deal is needed. Imagine if the club had stuck with Errea or another kit make who wanted to pay less - then we missed FFP - would it have been worth it ? Probably not.

Also, poorest record for what ? Manufacturing - yes, they arent great on that - but neither are a lot of products we use nowadays. How many things you own are made in China, Vietnam, Indonesia etc ? None of these companies (mainly clothing) are any better. Nike are just a bit of a soft target at the moment.

I'd quite like to do this focus group thing.

But I didn't get an email :(

I think maybe I've been too mean to Pompey or something. Karma.

I did a mass delete of emails the other day. Maybe I deleted it by mistake.

Yeah. That'll be it. Definitely.

Sob.
