Stephen Ward is confident losing at home to Ipswich will be a blip for Albion and not the beginning of a rut.
The Seagulls have responded well to setbacks this season and left-back Ward believes they will demonstrate their powers of quick recovery again at Sheffield Wednesday tonight.
The only time they have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Championship was at the start of the campaign in Oscar Garcia's first two games in charge against Leeds and Derby.
Ward was signed immediately afterwards on loan from Wolves and has helped Albion to an instant win or draw after their other league losses.
Oscar's side head to Hillsborough following the smash-and-grab victory for Ipswich at the Amex, masterminded by the Irish defender's old boss Mick McCarthy.
Ward told The Argus: "I don't think we should be too disappointed by how we played. We spoke about it on Sunday and we felt we were well on top in the game.
"It is very easy to lose games in this league. It's very rare that someone goes on a run unless they are top of the league, like Leicester.
"Everyone else is fighting for those play-offs. It's tough. It's easy to lose and the most important thing is how you react.
"It is very easy to go on a run of not winning for three, four or five so to bounce back as quickly as possible is very important.
"We have done that really well this year. We've got a good mentality in the squad. We dust ourselves down quite quickly and don't dwell on things. On Tuesday night I am sure it will be a clean slate and hopefully another win for us."
