In a pile of football shirts
That would be hilarious, both Davis getting the chop, and Warnock going in there, ha ha, no love for Forest whatsoever.

It says the Warnock role is unknown at the moment. Warnock said earlier this season he would be more interested in a director of football role, than getting back into management, but how often have we seen managers say they don't want to manage again suddenly take a new job? I mean, how many last jobs before retiring has Harry Redknapp had?

I'd prefer Davies to stay for now, he's doing a great job. A new manager might just give them the momentum they need to get back into the play offs.

What has happened to Billy Davies this season is the classic case of 'Be nice to people on the way up, because you'll see them on your way down again'.

He has been an utter tw@t, and brought the good name of Nottingham Forest into total disrepute in attempting to settle his own ludicrously petty scores, usually against the wrong targets.

Bizarrely it was the game at the Amex that captured everything that is wrong with Davies.

There was that very unpleasant incident between the dugouts that led to Albion's goalkeeping coach getting (rightly) sent off, but a fair few on the Forest bench could have followed him down the tunnel.

In the same game - in which Forest were superb in winning 3-1 - Davies and a henchman intimidated a photographer on the touchline.

They then incredibly had stooges in the press conference filming journalists who asked him awkward questions, rather than their own manager speaking (all this at someone else's ground, having already banned various hacks at the City Ground).

This behaviour has been replicated throughout the season, aided and abetted by some dubiously chosen Scottish lawyer/family member in the background antagonising everyone.

Chuck in what appears a flagrant disregard for FFP and no one who has had to deal with him, even if they have a soft spot for the club, is sorry his team have imploded and he looks on the way out.
