OK, it's my birthday next month and my partner wants to take me away for a Sunday night to a spa hotel that does a dinner, bed and breakfast deal.

We've done Ockenden Manor on Cuckfield many times but the prices have recently rocketed. We've been to their sister hotel the Spread Eagle and Bailiffs Court but didn't think either warranted the money.

Anyone have any suggestions ? Looking for around £100 - £130 per person.

Like a normal hotel, but has a big picture of a pebble in reception

Loved the Una in Brighton. Fabulous rooms, the one we used had its own sauna and spa bath. Brilliant service too.

As said above the Alexander House but drinks are pricy, a bottle of peroni for me and glass of rose for Mrs Surrey Jim came in at £17

Was best man at a wedding at the Cooden Beach Hotel last summer. Lovely place, and does a whole range of spa treatments. The ladeez loved it.

Drinks are ridiculous. I had a glass of red wine. £12. Rum and coke £10
