Albion midfielder Keith Andrews has poured cold water on the idea he could still have a future at Bolton.
Dougie Freedman, the Bolton manager, refused to rule out the on-loan Irishman remaining at the Reebok ahead of the Seagulls' 2-0 victory last Saturday.
Andrews, loaned to Albion at the start of the season, said: "I'm surprised really. That would be what the headlines said but if you actually analyse what he (Freedman) said I doubt that's the case in all honesty.
"The writing was on the wall when they let me go on loan. Although I've got a year left on my contract I would be very surprised if I was there.
"If you actually analysed what was said there was not a lot in there to suggest I've got a big future at Bolton."
Andrews, who was ineligible for the win against his parent club, returns to the Albion squad for Ipswich's visit tomorrow.
