Keith Andrews wants to stay with Albion and stretch his career into a 16th season.
The Irish midfielder is resigned to a future away from parent club Bolton Wanderers.
He has played 24 games for the Seagulls since signing on a season-long loan and hopes he is doing enough to be back next year.
Andrews, 33, told The Argus: "I'd like to just go to a club that want me and where I am going to enjoy playing football.
"If that can be here next season that would be brilliant, because I've really enjoyed my time here and I think I can still ring something to the table next year on and off the field like I think I've done this year.
"But I don't know what's going to happen in the summer. That's the genuine truth. My family don't know. They are all a little bit worried where as I am a little bit 'What will be will be' and we'll just have to wait and see.
"But I just want to enjoy every single minute I've got left to play. I still feel like I've got a lot to offer on the pitch.
"Fingers crossed I'll be back playing for a good club and who knows? Hopefully it could be this club."
Andrews is back in contention to face former loan club Ipswich Town at the Amex today. He was ineligible for last Saturday's 2-0 win at Bolton.
