Barnett opened the scoring in the 30th minute after slotting home from a Jack Rowe-Hurst delivery into the box, before Collar finished well from Connor Tighe’s initial cross, ten minutes into the second half.

Rusk told seagulls.co.uk, “We had a disappointing performance and result against Swansea; statistically we dominated the game but games aren’t won and lost on statistics.“It wasn’t one of our better passing performances on Saturday, as the boys had to roll their sleeves up and work hard to win the game.
“They are quite demanding of themselves actually and at the end of the game they were a bit disappointed with their performance, but they still won and delivered a clean sheet.
“For young legs it’s not easy to play three games in a week, but there’s a resilience about the players now and they probably got their reward for earlier in the year, when they were playing some good football without getting the results.
“Also we had a really young team out on the pitch and had three under-16s playing, with the rest being only first years, so physically there’s going to be a mismatch at times and that’s where we need to be as technically accurate as we can."
Albion: Smith (GK); Barnett, White, Horncastle, Courtney; Collar, Hutchinson, Pring (Mayers 85), Maguire-Drew, Rowe-Hurst (Tilley 30), Tighe. Subs not used: Sanders
