Albion’s under-18s were beaten by Swansea at Culver Road.

A close-range strike from Kyle Copp and a stunning finish from Pau Morer ensured the Swans secured all three points.
The opening 15 minutes were rather cagey until the game sparked into life with chances for both sides.
Copp saw his long-range strike rise just over the bar, before some good work by Will Collar set up a chance for Jordan Maguire-Drew, whose rasping effort rattled the upright.

The visitors took the lead in the 24th minute, as Copp latched onto a Connor Roberts cross and netted past Seagulls keeper Josh Smith.Simon Rusk’s side looked for an immediate response when Jason Davis and Jack Rowe-Hurst linked up well to set up a chance for Charlie Harris, but his shot went wide of the near post.

Collar then made a surging run towards the area and found Maguire-Drew once again, but he shot straight at Lewis Moore.

Rowe-Hurst then engineered a goalscoring opportunity after shrugging off the challenge of Roberts, but fired straight at Moore once again. The Swans began the second half brightly, as Cory Francis struck wide from distance before having another chance saved by Smith just moments later.
But Morer scored the decisive second goal in emphatic fashion with a long-range strike past Smith.
Albion rallied late on as Dylan Barnett and Harris had chances from two Rowe-Hurst corners, but Maguire-Drew scored what proved to be a consolation goal for Rusk’s side.
The forward waltzed his way through the Swans defence and produced a cool finish past Moore to spark hopes of a comeback.
Albion continued to press forward in search of the equaliser, as Conor Tighe’s whipped ball into the box was met by Ragnar Mar-Larusson, but the forward could not divert his header on target and the points went back to South Wales.
Albion: Smith (GK); Deen, White, Hutchinson, Barnett; Wiltshire (Mar-Larusson 63), Collar, Harris (Pring 79), Davis (Tighe 63); Rowe-Hurst. Maguire-Drew. Subs not used: Jose (GK), Courtney.
