Were we lucky last night?

Arry and Joey both seem to think they dominated us and they can't understand how they lost.

If so then how did they dominate? who played bad for us? what didn't work for us? how will we get better? are we good enough for play offs?

Caveats:
- A win is a win is a win, so who cares etc
- We have been unlucky and lost before

The simple fact is that with the squad they have, they should been dominating the league all season. The reason they haven't is that half the players are playing for themselves and that they have a clueless dinosaur in the hot seat.
Everything worked for us. Oscar tactically outclassed 'Arry and QPR had near-zero threat.

A wage bill the size of Malaysia itself and the only decent striker they have is Austin.

QPR did have the majority of the play but had no threat upfront whereas we were clinical (for once) so there was no luck about our victory.

Wasn't luck that enabled TK to save all their shots on target; it was his goal keeping skills. The shots that went wide weren't down to bad luck; that was a lack of shooting skill from their strikers.

Out goals weren't lucky either: two brilliant crosses combined with smart finishing giving the keeper no chance.

We defended really well, and scored from both of our clear chances.

Nothing lucky about that.

Our defence was solid as a rock, restricting them (in the main) to long shots that you'd hope would never go in. Yes, PIG pulled off one or two decent saves but nothing too spectacular. QPR dominated possession but seemed to offer little in the final third.

QPR were kippered.

Alas, I am not so sure it would be the same again come the play-offs. One unlucky deflection (we got lucky with the one deflection) and we would be out.

Not a lucky win. Well played Oscar.

The trouble was it wasn't that encouraging because the superiority of QPR in midfield was plain to see. Rohan Ince was up to it, but Lingard dropping back from the second striker role and the overly left-footed Forster-Caskey both need to beef up their game a lot. Andrews is not a playmaker, more a defender. Buckley did well and his simple through ball for the goal was more than QPR could manage. But that was QPR playing a high line which was rather foolhardy.

There was no chance of Bruno diving in and giving away a penalty. He is a proper full back.
