Queen’s Park Rangers’ last visit to Brighton was back in 2005 on Boxing Day, when a seventh minute Guy Butters goal ensured they left Withdean empty handed.
A year earlier though, it was Rangers who took the points away from the south coast, as Matthew Rose’s spectacular 90th minute strike saw the London side fight back from 2-1 down to secure a 3-2 victory.

In early August 2003 a Leon Knight brace secured Albion a 2-1 win over ten-man Rangers as Terrell Forbes saw red in the 62ndminute before Knight notched a six minutes later winner.
The 2-1 score line is a common theme between the two, stretching back to Rangers' first ever venture south in December 1920 before the same result occurred the following year, with Albion coming out on top both times.

Rangers' visits over the next four years were to be even less successful as they found themselves on the wrong end of 2-0, 3-0, 5-0, 2-1 *and 4-1 losses until a 3-1 win in December 1927 marked QPR's first away win between the two.*
In total, Rangers have visited Brighton on 35 different occasions so far with Tuesday's trip marking their 36th visit. Albion have won 21 of the 35 visits but the upcoming Championship clash is the hoops’ first visit to the American Express Community Stadium. *
