Will Hoskins completed his first 90 minutes in over a year as a resolute Swansea City edged out Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-21s 1-0 courtesy of a first half Gwion Edwards strike.*
Hoskins’s completion of a full game was the only real bright spark of the evening as both teams struggled to create in a tight affair and*Albion fell behind on 33 minutes.
Breaking well down the left, Edwards used his pace to create some space on the edge of the area before finishing well to give the visitors a fortuitous lead considering the game's lack of any real chances.*
Albion’s response was swift though and the Seagulls had the ball in the as Courtney Richards finished well only to see the linesman’s flag raised before Glen Rea went close from a corner shortly before the interval.*

Flying out of the gate, Swansea almost doubled their advantage two minutes into the second half only to see Tom Leggett’s goal-line clearance ensure the score remained 1-0.*
