Odd one. To go for it so dramatically then retract it. Instinct to go down I guess. Ref within his rights to show a yellow.

I don't think that headline does Aaron Hunt justice.
If you watch the slow motion replay you can see that as he is running in on goal his foot lands on its side causing him to fall - so it wasn't a 'dive', a word that suggests intent.

Agree. More of this please. He shouldn't haved dived, but he automatically saw the error of his ways. Please take note other young professionals.

I'd would have booked him for time wasting, 'waits for the flack'.
Although, if he is good at it, maybe we should convince him of his English heritage and take him to Brazil.

This is what I thought, he just told the ref he'd tripped over.
You can imagine some refs saying 'no, I'm in charge here', despite all common sense.
