It spins both ways depending on which way you look at it, but once you've seen it spinning one way it's really hard to see it spinning the other way.

I've seen this before. It's a right brain left brain thing.
If you see this lady turning clockwise, you are using your Right Brain.
If you see it counterclockwise, you are using Left Brain.
See if you can make her go one way and then the other by shifting the brains current.
Nope, never cracked this one - can only see clockwise. Been reading about left/right brain stuff in http://www.amazon.co.uk/Drawing-Rig...1&sr=8-1&keywords=drawing+right+side+of+brain, which is fascinating. You can trick the left-brain into switching off, by copying (ie. drawing) a picture upside-down (so it's more abstract).

The trick to making the girl spin the otherway is to tilt your head to the left, squint a bit, and move your nose in the direction you are trying to make it spin. you have to get the timing right with the spin. It works for me anyway.
Once you get it, it becomes easier.
