He'll probably head to the Far East for a year or two and then go back for some kind of coaching role at Camp Nou or La Masia.

Awesome defender at his peak, but falling apart physically at this stage.

Lady Bracknell (addressing a meeting of Worthing Seagulls): To lose out on Messi from Barcelona, Worthing Seagulls, may be regarded as a misfortune for our club. To lose out on both Messi and Puyol looks like carles(ness).

Just a thought nothing to do with Football Rumours but could he join us on the coaching side and register as a player like Tanno did as an emergency cover. Wouldnt have thoought that money was a top priority of his as he must be wealthy.

According to SSN he cannot continue playing due to the extreme pains he gets from his injuries. I can't see him signing for anyone, least of all us.

I think he is, along with Maldini, my favourite player.

I like Puyol to.

He must be up there for winning most trophys as a player. Can't be many that have won a World cup / Euros / Confederations / 3x Champs league / Fifa world club / Olympics , 2 Super cups and an absolute haul of domestic trophys.

Decent attitude , 1 club man. Has won the lot.

Injuries aside , I reckon there would be loads of teams prepared to chance it if a slim chance of getting games out of him
