Yet another plea for restaurant advice

We have Dutch friends who have spent quite a lot of time in the UK but have not been to Brighton before. They are visiting us for a week-end from Holland, and the plan includes Sunday lunch. Advice would be welcome for a good quality restaurant, but not exorbitant, with a lively atmosphere. Something with a traditional menu.

Ginger Pig or Ginger Fox, depending on how far you want to travel. Otherwise the Townhouse on St James's Street is quite smart and good food.

all depends on what sort of people you are and what sort of ambience you desire.......it's like asking how long is a piece of string.

Partridge at Partridge Green does passable pub food,is the weekend home of the Lycra Louts so you can click the "all Dutch ride Bicycles"bit and Dark Star beer will make a pleasant change from Jopen.

The roast at the Lion and Lobster is decent and the place is always heaving. Best to book.

Got to be the Gingerman - not cheap but not overly expensive - very good food and service.
