Albion have gone top of the table – with a little help from Ross McCormack.
The Seagulls now lead the way in the Championship for clean sheets home and away.
They have been top of the pile for away shutouts for some time and yesterday’s 1-0 win at Millwall took them to nine, at least three more than any other team.
But for the first time this season they also have most clean sheets in total with 15.
They have gone one clear of QPR, who conceded a deflected McCormack free-kick in yesterday’s 1-1 home draw with Leeds.
Ironically McCormack scored the first goal against*Oscar Garcia's men*this season at Elland Road on the opening day.
But Albion have improved since shipping four goals in their first two league games.
Burnley have conceded fewest goals per game with five teams letting in an average of less than one per match.
Albion are also kings of the 1-0 win with eight in total, including five away from home.
The figures are for Championship matches only.
Total clean sheets: Albion 15, QPR 14, Burnley 13.
Goals conceded per game: Burnley 0.79, QPR 0.81, Albion 0.84, Wigan 0.94, Leicester 0.97.
Away clean sheets: Albion 9, QPR and Wigan 6, Burnley and Leicester 5.
Away goals conceded per game: Albion 0.75, QPR 0.87, Wigan 0.94.
