Naturally one always pictures people the age they look in a particular film. Thought he was about late thirties.

Jesus, didn't think he was that old. Totally ruins the chances of a Ghostbusters 3 then. Parkinsons ruined my dreams of a new Back to the Future and now this! Obviously not meaning to sound callous or anything.

As a writer:

1979 - Animal House
1980 - Meatballs
1981 - Caddyshack
1982 - Stripes

Quite the purple patch.

Fantastic character actor.

His deadpan delivery of lines was the perfect foil for Murray and Aykroyd's sarcastic and zany styles.

Really sad to hear this, I've always loved Ghostbusters and admired him as an actor/writer.
RIP Harold

He certainly will be collecting moulds, spores and fungus now. Great body of work. Very funny man.
