Albion's most recent visit to the KC Stadium came in August 2012 when an 85th minute Jay Simpson goal secured the three points for the Tigers in a 1-0 win.
Just the season before, in late February, Albion had emerged from a similar trip with a share of the spoils following a goalless draw.
Prior to that the two sides hadn't met at the KC since 2005 when the visiting Seagulls lost 2-0, courtesy of goals from Ryan France and an 87th minute Ben Burgess effort.
Albion's most recent win away to the Tigers came in October 2000 when the teams met at Hull's former ground, Boothferry Park. *Emerging as 2-0 winners, both of Albion's goals arrived in the second half, as Matthew Wicks and Paul Rogers found the back of the net. The away victory that season marked only the third time since the 1989/90 season that Brighton won both fixtures, home and away.

Albion first travelled to play the Tigers in the old English Division Two back in November 1959, losing 3-1 and the journey remained a fruitless one until an FA Cup clash in January 1986 saw Albion claim their first away win over the Tigers, winning 3-2
