They will play their home games in Portugal and cannot be in the same group as Spain.

Also if the total population of Gibraltar did attend a home game the stadium would not be full.........

All the pundits will be hoping we get a good draw, this usually means trying to avoid such "dangerous" teams as Poland and Croatia. We will muddle through qualifying with a probable Red Card for Rooney and/or a Metatarsal crisis invoking a key player. We will get to the finals and be eliminated at the group stage with 2 draws and a defeat.

23 teams to qualify, top 2 from eight groups of 6 (and one group of 5), a best 3rd place, and the other 3rd placed teams into a Playoff.

With the amount of junk and flotsum sloshing around, its going to be all but impossible for anyone semi-decent NOT to qualify. 24 teams in the Euro finals is far too bloated a tournament.

Can't wait to see us play home and away against the likes of Malta, Cyprus and Armenia. ZZzzzzzzzzzz.

When will they learn that it's best to have 16 or 32. Not 24.

So what? What else is there to watch when the football season is over? I love watching international tournaments. It's a great warm up to the football season and passes time beautifully

So pointless. Just send the same teams through and have the qualification for the rest. There will be zero shocks in the qulification

There is an argument for quality over quantity though, shirley.

When the Euros was 16 teams, they're ALL decent because the wheat was sorted from the chaff in qualifying. 2016 is going to be chock-full of JUNK though.

Add in the fact that the group stage will see the top 2 in each group of four qualify for the knockouts PLUS 4 best 3rd placed teams (so 16 out of 24 teams are going through), and its actually going to be pretty hard to get eliminated.

How can you finish 3rd in a group of 4 and STILL go through to the knockouts ?? Pathetic, ham-fisted bollocks and absolutely typical UEFA, managing to nause-up what was a good tournament format for the sake of shoe-horning in more games, the majority of which will contain such piss-poor teams they won't even be worth watching.

Belarus v Armenia in the Finals ? Oooh, save me a seat.
