Sorry Wozza, but it's a MASSIVE NO from me. I never found Stan (the Germans bombed our chipshop) Boardman funny or this joke either.
But comedy is subjective, what I find funny you probably don't.

I remember seeing it at the time, and although I am not a fan of Stan Boardman that joke is GENIUS

It's not the jokes that's funny though, it's the whole situation. He knew what he was doing, and Des' face is just brilliant. So is there an option for 'Joke: Terrible, Situation: Comedy Gold'?
