Can't see it mentioned.

Below from SKY Sports website...... We've had a number of Plymouth players in the recent past, might stand us in good stead.

Anyway....

A host of Premier League and Championship clubs are tracking Plymouth starlet Ben Purrington, Sky Sports understands.

Purrington has been earning rave reviews at Home Park after breaking into the Argyle first team at the end of December.

The highly-rated left-back has made 11 apperances for the Pilgrims after making his debut in the Boxing Day win away to Oxford United.

The 17-year-old has been nominated for the League Two Apprentice of the Year award and has also been tipped to win a call-up to the England Under-18 squad.

Purrington's progress has not gone unnoticed higher up the football pyramid with the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa, Southampton, Reading, Brighton, Huddersfield and Bournemouth all keeping tabs on the player.

Purrington, who has 18 months to run on his current contract at Plymouth, is thought to be happy to be playing regular first-team football at Home Park but as yet the club have not opened talks about rewarding the youngster's progress with a new deal.

Word on the street is that he's the cat's pyjamas but let's paws with the speculation, there could be plenty of twists in this tail..

I'll just be fetching my coat.

He was a whisker away from netting his first goal the other day, almost clawing back a victory for Plymouth.
