did anyone else see the report from Egypt where the young girl was giving her report to breakfast viewers and the security guy turns up and at the request of some old girl starts asking for identity while on live TV.
seems that Egypt has stepped backwards a bit ?

I think this happened near Cairo

great place by the way although we only kept to the north coast Port Said to be avoided but Alexandria was wonderful

The minibus in which 3 were killed and a load injured was in south Sinai i think which is not far from Sharm El Sheikh at all!!

Nearly 150 miles away from there. It was on the Taba/Eilat border.

In 1996 I took a taxi from the Taba / Eilat border through South Sinai to Sharm El Sheikh. Different world back then, there's no a cat in hell's chance I'd do that again.

My g/f is in Cairo at the moment. Flying back later this afternoon. She says it has been dead quiet in all the tourist places.
