Help needed....making photo DVD with music

Do any of the goodly folks of NSC have any advice they can share.

I would like to make a photo CD / DVD with music for a special occasion.

Can anyone recommend software to do a good job for someone not hugely computer savvy?

I've used iMovie on my iMac. Very easy to use and effective.

This is functionally rich enough to produce what you need.
However, is the final product required to run as native DVD? ie as in it will play on the DVD connected with your TV?

If you were using DVD in the PC sense, you can do some pretty smart things with MS PowerPoint.

Personally, I'd use Windows Movie Maker as it comes free with the operating system and is pretty simple to use.
