Done a bit of reading up on him and seems a good little prospect although he had a while out with a serious injury but seems to be getting back into goal scoring form now

EXCLUSIVE: Aston Villa among SEVEN clubs in for non-league teen star Johan Ter Horst
Johan Ter Horst

The striker, 18, plays seven steps below the Premier League with Ryman One South side Folkestone Invicta.

Villa have sent scouts to watch Ter Horst, who has scored 17 goals this season, and are mulling over making a bid.

But competition for his signature is fierce and they are one of SEVEN clubs in for the talent.

Charlton, Brighton, Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford, Gillingham and Wycombe are all interested in giving the youngster a Roy of the Rovers style move.

Ter Horst is under contract until the end of next season and would command a fee.

Starsport understands that Invicta will not stand in his way if a pro club came calling but a permanent deal - with Ter Horst loaned back to Invicta for the rest of the campaign - could be in the pipeline.

The pacey Ter Horst - who has been likened to a mini Michael Owen - was close to quitting Folkestone last year.

But he chose to defer his university entry to stay on with the Kent club.

Ter Horst - who is a boyhood Charlton fan - has grown up playing for Folkestone's youth sides.

If he looks at all the youth getting a chance under Oscar he might choose us, or then again he might choose who's paying the most

good though he may be, we desperately need someone to bang them in on a regular basis now......we're back to the position we were in earlier in the season, what if anything happens to Ulloa ?

Interesting. Nice that we're looking at someone to play off of a big striker.

That's been true since we had Murray and Forster though IMO. We relied heavily on Glenn after that and then struggled goal scoring wise until Ulloa turned up.

If the lad has any integrity then he should be off to the Valley really. At least as an 18 year old. Won't get a look in at Villa.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
He might fancy our marvellous new training facilities...... so you never know, unlikely though if he is a Charlton fan and they are interested

Well it won't be us that pays the most if we keep giving away free tickets. Barber out!!

Charlton or us, with our shiny new academy, and more and more evidence of giving younger players a chance in the first team? Hmmm.
