Would be interesting to see how this changes as the season progresses.

Mine now:

-------------Hart
Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines
------Gerrard Wilshere
Townsend Rooney Ox-Chamberlain
-----------Sturridge

Our team isn't bad at all.

I'd love sterling and Barkley to be in the squad and play.

Anyone who puts welbeck in the starting 11 should be put down.

Agree with all of this except that Wilshere is far superior to Henderson.

Not this season he's not - from what I've seen and read - he's not fully fit, does run around a lot but not terribly effective overall. At this second, I'd choose Henderson over him, but could change over the remainder of the season. Sterling should get in there, though, on current form.

Ruddy (I hate Joe Hart and his stupid shampoo advert)
Clyne - Cahill - Jagielka - Shaw
Gerrard - Wilshere
Sterling - Oxlade-Chamberlain-Sturridge
Rooney

Kyle Walker should not go to the world cup. Massive liability, may as well give a younger player like Jenkinson or Clyne a chance, at least they can defend and won't have brain-farts defensively every few minutes. Baines can't defend that well either.

I forgot ZAHA. And want Jenkinson & Shaw in now I've seen that.

So my revised starting XI would be:

-------------------Hart
Jenkinson - Jags - Cahill - Shaw
----------------Gerrard
Sterling - Barkley - Milner - Zaha
---------------Sturridge

= FLAIRinho

Just realised I seem to have accidentally dropped Rooney, and thus would have induced the ire of the nation (and The Sun) with that team.

No worries - we'd score so many goals in game 1 that I would be vindicated straight away. Easy this England management lark.

Solid in the centre, Pace and form out wide. The Gerrard to Sturridge link could be our one true hope. They are on a magnificent wavelength at the moment.

That would be a reasonable shout, but I have reservations I've already mentioned about Wilshires form & fitness.
