This weather's driving me mad - not because I mind the storms but because I can't go out in the Sussex countryside. I am going stir crazy.

I cannot WAIT for the Spring and the chance to get out there again - sunny days up on the Downs, by the Ouse, up on Ashdown Forest, in the woods.

This year I think I'm finally going to spend a week walking the Southdown Way if I can find the time. Anyone done this and got any thoughts on how to get the most of it?

Or just any general tips on good walks in our fine county? I can't be the only boring ageing git on NSC who likes a good ramble.

Have a look at the Argus website as they do a weekly walk which is very good. I also like to get out and walk. In fact i did a 2 hour walk today and got wet.
