Very random, but if you are wearing a formal shirt, do you wear a white T-shirt under it? I don’t, and when I see others I think it looks strange and spoils the look of the shirt.
Or do you wear a vest?

It was all getting too much for me this morning, so had to ask.

I wear a t shirt under incase I get sweaty armpits. Hope this helps

Its a very European look. All the guys in our Dutch and German offices love a white shirt peaking through their collar. I say go commando.

If it's cold in the office then yes, I'd rather go without but given the option of looking good or feeling comfortable I know which one I value more!

I do sometimes – when it's cold, for example. Don't particularly care how it looks to others, to be honest...

Completely spoils the look of the shirt.

If you are cold, and the occasion permits, the addition of a decent jumper is acceptable.
