As far as I'm aware he has only played about 70 minutes of competitive football at development level, I highly doubt he would be match fit enough to be in the squad Monday

25 mins and 50 minutes at under 21 friendly level, then not risked in another because the pitch is 4G. I would be confused how he could be unable to play in one game because it's the wrong grass and it's too soon to test his fitness on it in an under 21 game, then a week later have him under consideration for a competitive first team game against premier league opposition.

But, then, he did talk about aiming for an FA cup come back.

Good point, I don't know I just saw the headline and figured he wouldn't have assumed we'd get past prem opposition. Perhaps if I read the article he might have said next years 3rd round...
