ALBION boss Oscar Garcia has urged his team to be more clinical in tomorrow night's "massive" home game against Leeds United.
The Seagulls moved back up a place to eighth in the Championship, four points adrift of Reading in sixth with a game in hand, thanks to Saturday’s narrow win against Doncaster Rovers at the Amex.
A comeback victory for Leeds at Yeovil earlier in the day has left them a point below Albion in tenth in the chase for a play-off spot.
Oscar said: “One of the big things we have to improve is to be more clinical in front of goal. That is obvious but I’m not worried because we create chances, we are still keeping possession. This is the way to win games, or how I understand football to win games.
“We were delighted to win in front of our fans. The players are happy but they know we have a massive game on Tuesday.”
Oscar hopes to have midfield duo Keith Andrews and Jake Forster-Caskey available after they missed the Doncaster match with hamstring injuries.
Will Buckley, sidelined since the end of December by hamstring trouble, is unlikely to feature and Oscar has played down the chances of an imminent return for Craig Mackail-Smith, who is scheduled for another run-out for the development team in a friendly at Bournemouth today.
“He has been out for more or less a year,” Oscar said. “We have to be careful with him. He is taking part in training and he’s playing some minutes with the development squad. I cannot tell how much longer he will be out of the squad for but we are happy he is coming back from a big injury.
“He is taking part in all the training sessions with us. I think this is a big step for him and the next step is to be 100 per cent fit. It’s not easy, it takes time.”
