I thought he was pretty tedious tbh although perhaps not as bad as JC. Just my opinion though

I respect your opinion, but thought he was better than Norman Gall for the away gamesI thought he was pretty tedious tbh although perhaps not as bad as JC. Just my opinion though

I think most the listeners were falling asleep with his monotone ramblings. Virgo is an upgrade.

I think Aspinall is excellent. His pronunciations of the players can be dubious at times, but he gives an excellent insight into the game. As for Virgo vs. Johnny Byrne, Virgs for me.

Adam V spoke at the Historians' meeting two weeks ago. Quite superb.
Sorry, but WA is thick as xxxxxxxx, JB is far better.

Wrong on both counts imo. Warren knows an awful lot about football and is able to articulate it well (despite his problems). JB just sounds like he isn't particularly bothered about commentating.

Aspinall knows the game and the club. He may get odd bits wrong but he is very perceptive when it comes to talking about teams and players.
I can never understand all the negativity towards Cantor and Aspinall, both offer something different to the commentary and both do their job's very well; describing the game and offering some insight, what more do people want? Bryne was good as is Virgo when he's on.
So has he actually gone or will he be back?
