The Amex was a sea of blue and white when Doncaster visited in 2011

INSIDE ALBION: PEREGRINE TAKES UP HOMEEAGLE-EYED SEAGULLS fans spotted a peregrine falcon who has made the Amex its home in the roof trusses of the West Stand. The bird of prey has also been visited by a group from Sussex Peregrines and the club is currently taking their advise with that of the RSPB regarding a possible nesting box in the stadium!
FORMER ALBION BOSS Alan Mullery visited the North West Sussex Seagulls last week to partake in a live Q&A with members of the supporters' club and travel group. The evening was a great success with some great feedback from viewers from across the globe. Albion's media team are planning further future live broadcasts of this nature, both in conjunction with the various supporters' clubs and live from the Amex.
MARTIN PERRY WAS at the club’s new training facility last Thursday, giving Seagulls Player an exclusive tour around the fast growing complex. With the summer move-in date fast approaching the impressive facility is staring to take shape and Perry gives a special behind the scenes look. The video is also now available to all fans via our Official You Tube channel.
SATURDAY’S GAME AGAINST Doncaster Rovers is one to tug on the heart strings of any Albion fan. The fixture is rich in history and has arguably the two most dramatic fixtures in the club’s past connected to it. With this in mind Seagulls supporters are being urged to drape the Amex in blue and white for the visit of Rovers to recreate the memorable scenes of the first game at the Amex in 2011.
LIFE-LONG ALBION fan Brett Mendoza has an extensive collection of Albion shirts at his disposal, and he met with Seagulls Player to share a portion of his collection. Mendoza, a dedicated fundraiser for the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund, also reflected on the dramatic previous wins over Doncaster and explained what those moments were like for a fan to experience.

THE AMEX WILL host another international fixture. The home of the Seagulls has been chosen as the venue for England women’s international in April when the Three Lions face Montenegro in a World Cup Qualifier. It will mark the first game of Mark Sampson’s reign after he replaced Hope Powell following the latter’s departure after the 2013 European Championships. England’s women have a perfect record so far after hitting 20 goals without response in their opening four qualifiers.
THE PRESS CONFERENCE to announce the game was an almost capacity crowd in the Amex press conference room, with a number of media representatives present to quiz Paul Barber, Sally Horrox, Casey Stoney and Siobhan Chamberlain.
THEY WERE NOT the only FA visitors to the Amex in the last week, as former England international Graeme Le Saux visited last week to discuss tackling homophobia in football. The ex-Chlesea man was filming an anti-homphobia video for the FA and he met with Albion’s event safety officer Chris Baker and Seagulls fans Liz Costa and Sarah Watts to discuss how clubs combat abuse. February is Football v Homophobia month; once again Albion will be supporting the month-long initiative.
CRAIG MACKAIL-SMITH’S long-awaited return to action came in the form of two under-21 fixtures and the striker is slowly returning to match fitness. Speaking to seagulls.co.uk the forward confirmed he is eager to return but admitted they are not going to rush a first team return. With him and Will Hoskins back in training, Albion’s frontline is only growing in strength.
