Tomorrow is 40 years to the nearest Saturday of my first ever Albion game (9/2/74), so got me thinking ......

My Albion in numbers is:

1 Cup final

2 play off finals

3 games at Wembley in which 4 goals were scored but we've never won

4 different home grounds

6 relegations

7 promotions - including 3 Championships

13 - highest finish in the league

36 - most goals in a single season by a player

40 - years supporting The Albion

91 - lowest finish in the league

What's your numbers ?

As your plus all that happened during the previous 20 years which included

the first promotion from the very old Third Division (South) to the old Second Division,

2 "five goals in a match" from Adrian Thorne and Bill Curry,

being in the record gate at the Goldstone of 36,747 v. Fulham December 27, 1958,

beating Reading in a league match 8-3,

and many , many more, too numerous to list, but thanks for making me think about them.

36 years for me on 25th of this month - first game versus Sunderland. Eric 'super sub' Potts scoring two in last few minutes to rescue the game 2-1 - bit like Buckley against Doncaster as it happens but not quite the same significance.

shame my dad made us leave at 84 mins and miss both the goals.......never left early since!

anyone know what happened to eric Potts? goldstonerapper?
