That kind of piece is all well and good, but generally people only care about stuff that affects them. If you're reliant on the tube, yesterday would've been a massive pain in the arse. They wouldn't care that people couldn't get west of Exeter by train as they didn't need to. I doubt anyone in Truro gave a shit that the Brighton main line was closed on Christmas Eve.

Speaking from experience, nobody in Cornwall was bothered by the great storm of 1987.

And if Southampton was swept away in a tidal wave tomorrow, landing on top of (and thus also demolishing) Portsmouth, the good folk of Sussex wouldn't care either :wave:
