David Lopez
David Lopez says the Seagulls must take advantage of the upcoming home games.Albion lost 2-0 at Watford yesterday to leave them with just one point from their last three league fixtures on the road, and the Spaniard feels the side must make the most of being back at the Amex.
*
He told seagulls.co.uk, “We need to make sure we are strong at home. We’ve had good games, bad games but we need to be consistent.
*
“With our supporters behind us these four home games coming up will be key.
*
“We are still close to the play-off places. That distance has grown over the last few matches but the team are still thinking the same way – to get up the table.
*
“If we can go on a winning run we will be up there again.”
*
Meanwhile the midfielder reflected on the loss at Vicarage Road adding, “We had a bit of possession early on but we didn’t create much.
*
“Their goal was a real setback but I think in the last 20 minutes of the first half we had some chances and we kept trying in the second, without really creating anything.
*
“The second goal they got was a real dampener for us. We kept trying, had one or two other chances but it was a shame we didn’t pick up any points.”
