Martin Perry
Club executive director Martin Perry says Fred Woolven’s Football League Unsung Hero nomination is thoroughly deserved.Woolven has been shortlisted for a FL Award for his unquestionable loyalty and hard work at Albion and Perry sang the praises of the 86-year-old.
He told seagulls.co.uk, “I have worked alongside Fred for the last 14 years.* He is a genuine guy that you just love to have around the club.*
“He is intensely proud of the fact that he is still going strong at 86, and always comes into the office with a smile and a wave.*
“He is friendly, warm and welcoming and makes the fans and people who buy lotto tickets feel part of the club that he loves so much. He really is one of our unsung heroes.”
