It's not goals scored - it's goals per match. Teams at the bottom of this list tend not to let in too many goals.

Yep only QPR and Burnley have let in less than goals than us.

It's all from our away games - we're 16th at home and 24th away.
As TRHK points out, this isn't indicative of being good or bad, just maybe a bit boring to watch.

Derby County 3.33
Bolton Wanderers 3.13
Watford 3.08
Millwall 3.08
Yeovil Town 3
Blackburn Rovers 2.86
Leeds United 2.85
Middlesboro 2.73
Blackpool 2.67
Birmingham City 2.54
Leicester City 2.53
Burnley 2.5
Huddersfield T. 2.47
Ipswich Town 2.43
Doncaster Rovers 2.43
Reading 2.4
Nottingham Forest 2.38
Charlton Athletic 2.27
Barnsley 2.23

I am not happy. I want to see GOALS. As far as I'm concerned my enjoyment of a game is directly linked to the number of goals. This needs to be urgently improved.

Yep. I really enjoy matches where we lose by 3 or 4 goals.

What we really need is a manager who will play attacking football and get it forward a bit quicker...

if we play 2 up top i feel the goals per game would be better if we get the right people out wide

Maybe we should play more attacking football, e.g. 2 strikers through the middle or the inclusion of pacey wingers. Surprised it's not been mentioned.

I think we should play with a more attacking mindset. We seem too happy to draw and sit back rather than go for a goal. Oscar needs to be informed ASAP that pacey wingers and/or two strikers is the only way forward.

So the 97/98 season when we finished 23rd in the old third division and only missed relegation to the conference due to Doncaster being eben poorer was far more entertaining due to an average 2.26 goals a game although only 6 wins all season.

We were 2nd from bottom on this list last season (despite finishing 4th).

Bristol City and Peterborough were 1st and 3rd - respectively - Didn't do either of them much good.

If we had a BRITISH manager who understood our league and played 442 there's no way we would be bottom of the world-famous goals per game table.
