Unless we can really put a run together the play-offs may be a bridge too far this season. Suddenly the Hull game is massive, its a must win to keep the season alive....

So we can't make the play-offs as some are saying, but we can have glory in the Fa Cup with Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool and others still left possibly to play!!! Lets not get too carried away hey.

The notion that we cannot make the play-offs is frankly ludicrous at this moment in time. We are 7 points adrift of 6th place with a game in hand. Last season after 28 games we were 5 points away with 6th with no games in hand. Bolton who finished 7th and missed out on the play offs by goal difference were 17th place with 13 points to make up.

Leicester were 2nd 11 points ahead of us and we finished 7 points ahead of them. Middleboro who were 6th ended up finishing in 16th, they were 5pts ahead and ended up 16 points behind.

There is still so much football to play and as per last season anyone can beat anyone else that it's still wide open for a play off place. Put a run together and who knows where we could end up. It's not over until it's mathematically impossible to make the playoffs. Sure we haven't looked like world beaters for a while but we know it's there when it clicks. There were points last season where we looked far from world beaters under Poyet as well.
