Another one of interest is David Rodriguez. The Argus were tipped off by the daily newspaper in Vigo yesterday morning that the rather rapid 27-year-old striker had cut short his contract with Celta and was moving to Brighton.
Subsequent digging confirmed the Seagulls were indeed interested but we believe he is one of several strikers they have been looking at. Rodriguez has hardly featured in the Liga BBVA this season but did well in the second-tier Liga Adelante.
We’ll have a bit more about him later on if appropriate but is worth remembering he is a free agent which means (a) there is no transfer fee and (b) he does not have to sign by 11pm.

The first serious business of the day for us will be the weekly press call with Albion, when we will meet new signing Dale Stephens.
There will also be the customary pre-match chat with Oscar Garcia, plus the views of Stephen Ward, as the Seagulls prepare to go to Watford (who crashed 4-2 at Forest last night) on Sunday.

Here's a bit of video to get Albion fans excited about their new signing - a wonder goal by Dale Stephens:

We’re hoping for a busy day – and preparing for a late night. Albion brought in Charlton midfielder Dale Stephens on a three-and-a-half year deal last night, a move you can read all about in The Argus today.
As we left it last night, Liam Bridcutt was about to be announced as a Sunderland player, in time for their little kickabout in the North East with Newcastle.
We expect to see the traditional ”holding the shirt aloft” shots from the Stadium of Light today.
