Didn't he get sent off again recently? I may have imagined it but could it be a ban he's sitting out?

You could be right.
He does seem to get sent off once every three or four games.

I find it's best to assume in his case. Much like when someone says 'did you hear what Joey Barton tweeted' you always know it was a) unnecessarily wordy and b) bollocks.
