Having twins

I have 10 year old twin boys, not identicle though. Mrs Scoffers and I then had a third boy 2 years later. All fun. Wife's sister also had twins!
Biggest advice. Don't panic, each child is different and you will learn very quickly how to adapt. There are tried and tested techniques out there to help deal with situations as they arrise. When my wife was heavily pregnant we attended a twins class run by mothers that had fairly recently given birth to twins and I think that helped a lot.

The mother-in-law stayed with us for the first month after the twins arrived. I was a bit uneasy about the thought her interfering etc (no Mother In Law jokes please!) but she was a huge help.
Once you get over the initial learning, ALWAYS treat them as individuals (even though they are identicle) and never pidgeon-hole them, meaning labelling one of them as naughty and the other a saint, all kids develop in different ways and speeds and they need to be allowed to make mistakes and learn

I have a twin brother and my girlfriend has often voiced her wish that when(!) we have children that we might have twins. Last time she raised the subject I said once is enough. She replied "Do you mean 'one is enough'?" I said "No." She thought for a minute ( I think i saw her lip wobble) and said laughing, a little too uneasily, "you make it sound like you've already had twins!!." I said nothing. They love the suspense. They really do.
Congratulations, Greyseagull. I remember St Thomas's - we had the laser treatment too, but we had a pretty awful time there. They did the lasering at half nine in the evening, and wouldn't discharge us until gone 11, by then we'd missed our last train home. Had to get a taxi back to Worthing.

Hi Triggaaar,
Funny you should ask that as Jude came off oxygen completely this afternoon - Quinn came off last week. Still no sign on them coming home yet though. I guess it's a case of putting more weight on and us remaining patient. It's been a very long seven weeks since they arrived. I hope you guys are all well. Was thinking about you and your previous message when we got diagnosed with the TTT.
Wow great news. Don't they say to expect them home close to their original due date?

We are expecting non identical twins early September. I tried to turn the play off defeat into a positive as it means I can just about afford my season ticket which might have been a different matter had it been premier prices.
We now have a very practical Vauxhall Zafira and the Ferrari of twin prams the Icandy Blossom 3 in black which I will pimp with flame decals
